Letter From A Founder

To all involved with WIGI:

I just wanted to congratulate everyone involved with Women In Games International (WIGI) on your tremendous work in getting WIGI’s full non-profit status. Achieving this status has been one of the long-term goals for this organization since our very first meeting in the lobby of the hotel at GDC in 2005.
Since then we’ve had so many milestone achievements! From our half day conferences around the country to our wildly successful convention mixers to the new speaker events with their list of incredibly talented and sought after speakers, WIGI has proven itself to be a valuable and indispensable asset for both men and women who are interested in the future of the game industry.

Women In Games International has been a dream of mine and I want to personally thank those who have been working so hard to make it come true.

The original founders: Laura, Ellen, Mia and Kathy; the hardworking folks who helped us boot strap it: Belinda, Karen, Sheri R., Sande, Mary-Margaret, Bonnie, Tamir, Tim, Billy; the new slate of officers who I have complete faith in to lead this organization into the future: Belinda, Krissie, Noelle and the hundreds of volunteers who have given their time and energy to see this organization come to life.

We have so many great plans for the future! I look forward to seeing this organization grow and prosper and provide a home for all the women in this industry!
